Lorrie Ann Harrington is the parent of a child who was diagnosed with autism at the age of three in 2004 and began working with the SCERTS Model in that same year. Through the model, she learned to use her creativity to teach her child to communicate and develop skills by creating books and visual supports specifically related to his individual interests, learning style, and needs. She now shares her experience with others by providing resources, encouragement, and consultations to others affected by autism and related disorders.
